Review: Ben’s City ‘The Shuffle’

Spoilers Below

When Deputy Andrew Renfro decides he wants a shot as the next Minister of Environment, he resorts to some despicable ladder-climbing tactics, including blackmailing Prime Minister Jack Dwizz over a one-night-stand with a transgender-hooker named Linda Bumper.

Of course, Dwizz quickly adheres and devises a new tactic called a “cabinet shuffle”, which may sound conventional to the public, but behind closed doors, it’s just a game of musical chairs to the tune of an accordion.

When Henry Wallet is the first one out, the meeting is quickly adjourned. And when Ben realizes he is out of a job as well, he assembles his closest pals to investigate the stripper-minister hanky-panky incident, he also has Scott help him frame and embarrass Renfro, in order to get Wallet his job back.

Until viewing episode six, “The Shuffle”, I had no idea accordion players were so despised, or that Elton John has a muse living in Quebec. Those are some amongst the many other eccentric things that take place in Ben’s City.
