REVIEW: SQUIDBILLIES ‘THOU SHALE NOT DRILL’

SPOILERS BELOW YALL SONS A BITCHES

Double long Squids.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWYYYYYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.

Squids is killin’ it these days. Honestly the most laughs per episode of any show I’m watching right now. Not even kidding bro.

In this double-wide edition of the Squid kin we find a natural gas rep “PNUT” trying to buy land rights for fracking natural gas in exchange for big ol’ energy checks of that money son. THEM DOLLAS. Unsurprisingly the residents of Dougal County are more than willing to sell their land in exchange for a quick baller ass payday. Honestly, most people would. Don’t lie to yourself. Do you REALLY love the environment more than you’d love having a Bently? That’s what I thought. Relax yo ass, your Mom drives an SUV, so get real.

In an “okay, I did not see that coming” moment, PNUT decides to rip up the fracking agreement in order to save the environment – which pisses off the entire town who were already putting themselves in debt for the finer things in life like hair extensions and giant monster trucks.

For some reason I don’t feel like giving the rest of the plot away so I’ll just tell you that it’s great. Now go enjoy it.

REVIEW OF THE THINGS:

This episode features guest voicing by comedian Ralphie May, and although I like the character, he gets outshone by the usual voice actors here. Nice try though, definitely not terrible and probably better than the average guest voice.

The jokes and skewed satire here are on point as usual and I even went as far as to quote some of my favorite to the BB crew (we talk, we’re cool, we talk about cool shit). The rodeo scene was full of glory.

Imma give this one upper marks and just say that if you like Squids you will love this one. Always turns a corner to humor town when I least expect it.  No more words needed, grab a beer and enjoy the glory.

Long live Squidbillies bitches.

I’m going back to sleep
