Bubble UK: Channel 4 Co-Produced Short Don’t Fear Death Appears Online

The Dice Production/Channel 4 co-produced short Don’t Fear Death has come online, presumably with the aim of bringing us closer to the realization that we all have to go sometime.

don't fear death

Described as “ a fast paced comedy about arguing the benefits of being dead, aided by a montage of corpses and a dance crazed Grim Reaper “, this Rik Mayall ( Young Ones, Blackadder) narrated short was selected for screenings at a number of festivals this year, including Milano Film Festival, London International Animation Festival  and the Malta Horror FilmFest. The screening at the London International Animation festival hasn’t even happened yet, so for it to appear online beforehand is very unusual, very generous of the creators.

Sit back and relax  and prepare yourself then for the inevitable, we all have to go sometime, some of us sooner than others and for those of you stuck in dead end jobs and relationships, hell, you’re half way there! Embrace the message of this film, the creators, Birmingham based Dice Productions, say that:  “The aim of this film was to twist the connotation of death in an absurdly positive way, while still making a rich, layered film that rewarded multiple viewings. Hopefully weʼve created a 3 minute film that you could happily watch on a loop for 15 minutes.” .Basically folks, they are saying: Don’t Fear Death!
