Chris Hardwick to Moderate Futurama Finale Pre and Post-Show Chats! The series finale of Futurama airs next Wednesday, but you won’t have to say goodbye alone. The episode will be preceded and followed by Futurama Live!, a pair of live-streamed video chats featuring creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, cast members Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Phil LaMarr and Lauren Tom, writer Patric M. Verrone and animator Pete Avanzino. The pre-show kicks off at 9:30/8:30c and the post-show starts at 10:30/9:30c. Both installments of Futurama Live! will be moderated by Chris Hardwick and will stream on the Futurama site and the Nerdist YouTube Channel.

Good News, Everyone! Comedy Central has managed to bring together some of TV’s brightest for one last hurrah before the Futurama finale. According to the Comedy Central Tumblr:

So, there it is folks…the last episode of Futurama gets a going away party. Overall, this season has been somewhat exceptional with highs and lows, but one thing is for certain and that is the legacy of the series WILL live on. Actually, FOX is doing a Futurama/Simpsons cross over event next year which I have a feeling could be a potential backdoor pilot for the series to return on the network in which it started so who knows if this is even the last stop. Any network would be crazy to NOT look at the 27 million Facebook likes and at least not be entertained in picking the series up for renewal.
