#ThrowbackThursday! Frisky Dingo “Meet Antagone”

The BlabberBoss threw me a curveball this week and asked me to cover a show I’ve never actually seen called Frisky Dingo. To be honest, Buddies, not only had I never heard of the show, after doing a bit of research I said, “hmm. This sounds suspiciously like another show I absolutely love called Archer.” For those of you unfamiliar with this show, it follows the misadventures of billionaire Xander Crews and his oft arch-nemesis turned sometimes ally Killface.

The episode, entitled “Meet Antagone”, centers around the fallout (literally) of reporter Grace Ryan being exposed to radioactive ants. Xander Crews is kidnapped, and Killface is trying to his best to be a good father and provide a nurturing enviornment for his son.I had a few problems with this episode. Those of you familiar with Archer will recognize the slick-as-snot

humor (along with a few voices,) but while Archer’s animation has caught up with the storytelling, Frisky Dingo seems cumbersome and clunky in the animation department. That said, there were many funny moments that redeemed the episode like Xander falling out of the plane and landing in the middle of a park while a trio of LARPers look mystified that a man fell from the sky. KillFace and Antagone go at it, with devastating results, and Killface is threatened with a lawsuit.Overall, Blabberbuddies, Paulie Von Doom wasn’t too impressed with Frisky Dingo. It’s genuinely funny, but the animation leaves something to be desired. However since (unlike my namesake,) I’m a pretty nice guy, I’ll give this one a 6 out of 10.

Until we meet again, Blabberbuddies!
