DVD Review: Phineas and Ferb: The Perry Files – Animal Agents

Phineas-and-Ferb-Season-3

You might remember a time when there were ‘Greatest Hits Collections on CD If not let me tell you what you missed. There was a time when bands would put out records, then they’d do lets say four records, pick the hits from each record, throw in some B-sides,  and finish with alternate takes of said hits, and then BAM record companies would make all profit because their would be no additional cost involved in song production. This is pretty much what we have here with the latest DVD release behind Phineas and Ferb: Animal Agents where really all of these episodes are pretty much out on DVD and Disney just decided to take a bunch from different seasons and put them all together but with a theme, in this case the animals of OWCA and their crusades against evil.

This might sound great, and at about $20 it isn’t the worst buy in the world for 12 episodes all of which currently go for about $1.99 on Amazon sold separately, so you figure at worst if you wanted to buy it you’d save a couple bucks. The selection of episodes aren’t bad either with efforts like the ‘Where’s Perry’ double episode, Agent Doof, and others. This is also assuming you have $20 just tearing an asshole in your jean pockets, so if you need it for something else, spend it elsewhere. At the end of the day you can skip the included spy kit and just TiVo the episodes that are played on repeat just about every day.
