Spoilers Below

The Belcher family heads to Florida while the restaurant is getting fumigated. Everyone’s excited cept Bob, mainly because Linda has wanted a vacation for a long time and the kids want to swim in the pool. Unfortunately, when everyone gets there its not what it seems, as Bob and Linda get wrapped into a swinger’s party courtesy of Lynn’s parents,  and the kids meet a crazy lady outside the water-less pool. Eventually, the kids hear about a 10-foot python terrorizing the neighborhood of which they feel they need to document. If they do just that, the kids could score $100!

Gene decides to stay behind while Louise and Tina go off to find the snake while Linda wants to find away to get a bunch of trouser snakes away from her parents. While the kids decide to camp outside, Linda’s parents get kicked out of their swingers club and as a result they have to forfeit their down payment on their place. Doing this leaves the elderly without any money, so Linda decides to offer them a place to stay much to the dismay of her husband who swears to get her parents back into their sick club. Meanwhile, Louise and Tina lose their flashlights while in the dark forest, but they still have their camera so all is not lost. While on their travels, the girls get stuck in the mud and try calling Gene for help but he kind of stinks. Eventually, Gene grows a set and he saves his sisters, and after running away from the Florida gators, they find Bitsy the dog of whom is just fine. Bitsy belongs to the crazy pool-side lady aka Helen and the two are reunited for like 10 seconds before the dog runs away. Turns out the dog likes being in the woods a heck of a lot better than chilling with the crazy lady. The Belchers go home swearing to never go back to Florida, again!

This might be one of the more edgy episodes of Bob’s Burgers we have seen in quite some time. Typically, the show rates at a TV-PG so if you were a family out there getting ready to watch the show, you parents might have had some awkward questions to answer. For the rest of us, we get an old people sex party plot that was actually pulled off rather well. As a matter of fact, I thought it was hilarious that no matter how bad old people sex sounds, that living with your in-laws is way worse. The writers convey this emotion perfectly and ‘Oh by the way’ give us an entertaining plot with the kids. After weeks of Tina-centric stories, it was nice to fall in love with her in a more supportive role where her quirkiness just shows up versus beating you over the head. Louise was her normal adventurous self, and I LOVED the climax with Gene blasting through the forest like a hero to save the day. The Bitsy dog bit was a nice little dollop of whipped cream to an already tasty night.
