Mr. Calvin Fischoeder was in love once but his lady left him for a rich dude. As such, Calvin needs another family to come and have Thanksgiving with him and make her jealous and as you might have guessed the Belchers are that selection. Despite offering up one month free on the restaurant’s lease, Bob doesn’t really want in but the wife and kids do especially after Calvin ups the ante to FIVE months of free rent. At the day of the event, Bob wants to make sure all of the Belcher family traditions are still upheld no matter what the circumstances!

Calvin decides to turn the big feast into a contest by offering up prizes to the Belcher kids in exchange for their obedience minus Bob of whom is in the kitchen making turkey while drinking absinthe. Calvin’s ex gf Shelby shows up to the dinner and is introduced to the whole ‘family’ and is eerily obsessed with firearms. Bob starts to serve the meal but is already being treated like shit by his kids of whom are all just in it to get tickets from Calvin. Tina shows up to break the turkey t-bone with her dad but she also is just in it for the tickets but its still better than Louise who just sends in a note of absence. After Bob comes out of his drunken stupor, he realizes the Belchers aren’t interested in taking part in the most noblest of traditions, the Bob toast.

As a result, Bob looks to serve his toast no matter what and as a result he speech-battles Calvin but shit hits the fan when the host kisses Linda! This sets Bob off of whom takes off with the turkey leading Shelby to grab her gun for a good ol’ fashioned hunt! Shelby takes a shot at Bob but he has the turkey so its OK and all the Belchers apologize and swear never to ruin Thanksgiving again! The Belchers come clean to Calvin and Shelby and then leave but not before Louise takes her prize.

Another great holiday themed offering from Bob’s. The B plot that was served featuring the kids working to get tickets kind of reminded me of the turnips at my Thanksgiving, yea they’re served but after one scoop your done. That said, Bob SOARS with his turkey Lance, which almost served as a throwback to Tom Hanks in Castaway, but this seemed to get MUCH crazier but we can thank booze for that. Kevin Kline gives a great performance as Calvin and I suspect it won’t be the last we see of him.
