Bugs is at the country club with Lola and her parents and with Lola and her mom off getting pedicures, Bugs and Walter decide to enter a tennis tournament posing as a father/son tandem. The very next morning Walter is rounding up Bugs to begin training…in being father and son! Walter loves it because it means they are bonding, but Bugs thinks its weird. Next, Bugs and Walter are playing some baseball but Bugs wants to start training in tennis so they can win the tourney but Walter won’t listen. One day, Walter shows up with a rifle but Bugs FINALLY convinces Walter to play tennis and we soon find out that the father figure isn’t very good. On the day of the tournament, Bugs tells Walter to just step aside and let him man the position in hopes of actually winning, and it works all the way up to the finals against Leghorn and Daffy!

Porky tells Daffy about a Father Figures program for kids that need a positive role model in life. However, Porky’s kid Henry Hawk is kind of an asshole. Porky puts together a beautiful picnic and sets up a date at the American Textile Museum but all Hank wants to do is eat chicken! The duo get into a big argument that leads to a chase down the street into a pet store with Henry threatening to eat a dog.  The standoff ends and the chase continues out of the store. Eventually, the dudes end the chase and Porky opts to wanna watch paint dry but then a chicken drives by leading to another chase! Thankfully,Henry comes back in time to watch the big tennis match.

Daffy signs up to the Father Figures program as a child…his dad?? Foghorn Leghorn!! And boy he is riding in limo style despite the fact that Daffy destroyed his movie. Soon, Daffy and Leghorn join up at the country club where the budding duo  gets to the finals in a match vs Bugs and Walter. Both sides talk a lot of trash but only ONE can be the winner. But guess what?? Henry’s in the audience and he wants chicken! So much so that he takes Foghorn out of the game and puts him on a stretcher thereby cancelling the match. That said, there’s a father/son golf tournament coming up with Walter and Bugs’ name written a over it. Also, Daffy comes clean to Foghorn about his age and Henry gets his chicken. And maybe Henry’s not such an asshole after all.

Boy, after watching this I really wanted some chicken! That said, it was great seeing classic characters like Foghorn and Henry show up this season and both put on a great show. Also, kudos to the writers for putting together three plots that seemed to interwove rather well at the end there which is something that some of the big boys can learn a thing or two on. I normally hate tennis, but hey maybe if I had me a father figure I would…nahhhh I would still hate tennis…but this one serves up nice.
