Stan’s step dad dies and as such decides to take in his mother so that she won’t be alone, but this means Roger has to move into the basement. To fight back and to feel more part of the family, Roger decides to marry Stan’s mother much to her son’s dismay. Turns out Roger and Stan’s mom Betty have a lot in common and were able to hit it off pretty quickly. Of course this angers the hell out of Stan despite the fact that he and Francine were just invited over for a lovely dinner. Soon, Stan starts to come around with the idea of having a real father figure when Roger teaches him all about things with motors and more importantly fixing them. Fuck, Stan even gets a Charger before Roger and Betty leave for their honeymoon!  However, we soon learn all of that father-son stuff was all horse shit and Stan learns that Roger is going to try and kill Betty at Niagara Falls. Stan shows up but only after crashing his car, but apparently Betty actually wanted to kill Roger the latter of which takes the river plunge…or did he?

Steve and his friends find a downed plane at the park while riding bikes. After breaking into the plane, the kids find the script for Fast and Furious 7 which has them all excited. They realize that the script is so awesome that they have to ring it back to Hollywood…but only after reading it. Welp, turns out halfway thru the script, we find out that Brian Connor and Dom Toretto turn gay. Fearing that all of the awesome action scenes would get cut off, Steve decides to edit the script down to eight pages worth of awesome. Unfortunately, when the kids go to Hollywood to pitch the script, the producer doesn’t want it at first due to the lack of sex scenes, but luckily Steve has them still and therefore gets the movie green lit much to the delight of Betty Smith.

I found it quite ironic that Stan got a new Dodge Challenger all the mean while Fast and Furious was getting SHAT on, a franchise that has been dotted with Challengers for years. That said, it was good to see Betty Smth back as Swoosie has such a lovely cadence that even when in fits of anger it just comes off as pure. That said, I do think the whole ‘Dad trying to prove worth to son” M-O has been done FAR too many times, and even with the twist ending, fell short in the laughs department. Yes, Roger had an entertaining one-liner here and there but nothing to write home about. Steve’s plot was a little funnier, but The Simpsons did this one too kinda, but anytime we can get funnies at the expense of the popular Fast and Furious stars, I think that’s a good thing because the majority of those movies aren’t that good anyway.
