EVERYBODY REALLY HATES BART

Bart becomes part of Professor Frink’s science experiment at school, but when he tries to show off his juggling talents in front of the class using Frink’s chemicals, he BECOMES the science experiment. All of the sudden Bart is hated more so by everyone in Springfield and is chased out of school, into town, and back at home. Marge’s solution for Bart…take a bath!

BART’S SHORT CUT

The new Itchy & Scratchy Movie is out in theaters and Bart and Lisa are running late for the start time! The kids end up across the street from the theater but are blocked off by a bunch of traffic so Bart ends up taking a short cut which ends with him knocked out in a tree for two hours leaving Lisa and everybody else to go see the showing without him.

CHILDREN OF THE CORNMAZE

Lisa puts together a huge toxic corn maze that attracts a bunch of local media attention. While there, she decides to go in by herself dressed up as an ear of corn, so that she can show everyone how the maze works. However, she soon gets lost followed by Homer and Marge, and even with the newscopter flying overhead she can’t be seen because of her outfit. As luck would have it, her hero comes from an unlikely source who is used to breaking the rules, but this time not only does it work…it helps!

Nice trio of shorts for the newest issue of Bart. Nothing too out of the ordinary with the exception of the first story where forever reason the shading and art seemed like they were better looking than before with shadows and whatnot. Having said that, I can’t possibly believe that there are 10 year old kids out there that have to be told to take a bath, I mean this is the same Bart who has had like 10 girlfriends and now he needs his mom to tell him to bathe?? However, the last story was really great in the fact that it was a different setup and climax, and as such giving Bart some time to shine when helping out his sister in a sticky situation.
