REVIEW: Archer “Drift Problem”

Episode Synopsis: Archer’s surprise birthday present—a high-tech “spy” car—leads to many other surprises, none of them good. Original Air Date: Feb 9, 2012

Spoilers Below

Its Archer’s birthday and boy is he pumped and even getting a new car from his mother. But, its not any car, its a top end Dodge Challenger re-engineered by Dr. Krieger and its really a bad ass car. He even decides to take it for a high speed car chase with the coppers, but of course once he parks the car he’s at home for only a short while before someone boosts it from his garage.

Archer then enlists the rest of ISIS minus Malory to infiltrate the local drift-racing Yakuza. Actually, he starts up a full on murderous ramppage armed with two M-16s in a desperate attempt to get his birthday present back before his mother finds out that he lost it(too late…thanks Cheryl!)

Overall, this was another solid episode of Archer, the drifting in the car races was so great it certainly gives Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift a run for its money. And then Malory’s comment towards the Yakuza mob boss right before he dies had me crying, mainly because it was kinda unwarranted, and the twist she provides KILLED. Plus, how can you go wrong with a George Takei guest appearance?
