Some guy named Steve Carrell will be guest starring on “The Simpsons” next fall

I have been a fan of Jon Stewart since before really anyone knew him. As a lifelong Howard Stern fan, you get your fair-share of comedians who would come in and do the news with Robin Quivers and I think it was somewhere in the mid-to late 90s where we I was introduced to the man who would later be hosting his own show on Comedy Central called “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” taking over for an angry Craig Kilborn and turning it into one of the biggest brands in television. Since then, Jon has helped launch the careers of some of comedy’s biggest names, like Stephen Colbert, Rob Corddry, and of course the one and only Steve Carrell who has gone on to achieve great success and garner tons of fame and fortune.

And yes, money and and fame are all great things, but you probably aren’t truly cemented in comedic legacy until you do a guest-spot on “The Simpsons”, and according to a recent article on Entertainment Weekly, Steve Carrell will be lending his own vocal talent as a new accountant for Fat Tony. For some who don’t know Steve has done a TON of voice-work with my personal favorite being his stint on the SNL animated shorts back in the day known as “The Ambiguously Gay Duo” playing along side Stephen Colbert as a couple of superheroes laden with fallacies and innuendo that would always question the sexual orientations of Ace and Gary. Its still a bit that gets done on SNL but I think its been a bit more sporadic over the years with the most recent one being May of this past year.
