FX Announces start dates for “Unsupervised” and “Archer”

That’s right kids, as the season finales of Beavis & Butthead and Good Vibes are fast approaching we shouldn’t worry because starting mid-January on Thursday nights we get the season premier of Archer and the highly anticipated series premier of Unsupervised, both on FX. Get the details after the jump!

Yep, according to an FX press release the Season 3 premier of Archer comes to us on January 19th @10pm EST and for those who don’t know Archer is an animated, half-hour comedy that revolves around the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS) and the lives of its employees. Although their work of espionage, reconnaissance missions, wiretapping and undercover surveillance is daunting and dangerous, every covert operation and global crisis is actually just another excuse for the ISIS staff to undermine, sabotage and betray each other for personal gain.

Then we get the series premier of “Unsupervised” @ 10:30pm EST which is an animated comedy about optimistic best friends “Gary” and “Joel” navigating the harsh landscape of teenage life and trying to do what’s right without any parental guidance whatsoever. The series was created by and is executive produced by Rob Rosell, Scott Marder and David Hornsby, all who currently serve as writer/producers on FX’s hit comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It features an outstanding voice cast including Justin Long, Kristen Bell, Fred Armisen, Romany Malco, Kaitlin Olson and Alexa Vega, along with Rosell and Hornsby. The series will be animated by Archer Executive Producers Adam Reed and Matt Thompson.

If you want to know more about the Season 3 premier of Archer, I did a write-up two weeks ago following the screening and Q&A of the episode. Below is a clip from the session which took place at the Paley Center for Media in NYC, NY.
