Whole Range of Turner Networks to Appear at Upfronts

In a surprising move, Turner Networks announced that Adult Swim, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, CNN, HLN, TBS, TNT, truTV, and Turner Sports will all join together for one large Turner Upfront 2015 event on May 13th at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

This comes as big news, considering it was only a couple years ago that Turner had a presence at all at the broadcasters annual Upfront Week, when TNT & TBS hung with the big dog networks for the first time.

In other firsts, this year will be the inaugural Upfront for noob President of TNT/TBS and Creative Officer of Turner Entertainment, Kevin Reilly. Kev is the former Fox Chairman who took over the reins after Networks President Steve Koonin exited early last year. Michael Wright also served in this role for several months before Reilly was hired in November.

“As a global leader in content spanning all platforms, we look forward to sharing our diverse portfolio of leading brands with the industry like never before,” said David Levy, Turner Broadcasting President, in a recent announcement with Turner Broadcasting Sales President Donna Speciale.

In the past, only Turner’s Adult Swim had a public face in New York during the week, which includes a post-Upfront party and a famous guest or performer. Details on this will be coming soon.

Missing from the list of channels? Turner Classic Movies. Films from half-a-decade-ago need promotion too, right?
