@TheSimpsons production house FIlm Roman moving towards originals
Ever REALLY read watch the end credits for The Simpsons? Well, you should because near the end you will notice the name of a production house named Film Roman. Turns out these guys are getting into the original productions game and that’s something you should know. Ready?
The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Beavis and Butthead, and EARLY Family Guy. What do all of those shows have in common? They were all at one time produced by animation studio Film Roman. With such a stellar list of notches on their belt one would thing the company now owned by Starz Media would be able to just rest on its laurels. Welp, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the company that Homer built is getting ready to produce its own original adult animated series and we even get synopses of what they are about:
Uncanny Valley, a live action/CG animated spoof show looking at, and poking fun at, conspiracy theories, is also in development at Film Roman. It is described as being in the Adult Swim/Comedy Central vein of programming focused on a male 18-years-plus demo.
InSecurity is another spoof comedy series in development that looks at the life of TSA agents, including interactions with baggage claim, cafeteria and other airport staff.
Evidently, Film Roman isn’t necessarily pitching just television networks either as Dana Booton told THR that the company is looking at other mediums such as Xbox and Amazon as potential landing spots for the series.
