Shorts Review: RWBY Chibi Episode 17

This episode was 4 mins and 47 seconds long with one promotional ad.

“Bathroom Break”

The Skit begins when Jaune is waiting to use the bathroom within his dorm with Ren currently occupying it and assuring him he’s “almost finished” and proceeds to tell him to “practice some patience”.

pp dance

Jaune says he doesn’t need to practice patience in his predicament and Phyrra shows up asking what he’s doing and Jaune tries to dodge this awkward moment by saying “I’m must practicing some fighting techniques that I invented”.

pp dance 2

Just when Ren is finished, Nora jumps in saying he “needs to go for realizes” further delaying Jaune’s chance to use it and Immediately after she’s done, Sun fucking Jumps in while he’s distracted from the pain.

As he gets up struggling for his bladder to make a “Last stand” to hold it, the Door cartoonishly slams open into Jaune and he says “I don’t need to use it anymore. (This is where I face-palmed hard.)

pp dance 4

Phyrra asks to learn these “combat moves” from him sometime and Jaune says as he’s crawling against the wall to avoid people seeing his pissy pants, “I just need to do the laundry first” and the skit ends.

pp dance 5

Pyrrha seemed kinda weak in the first bit. the dialogue was choppy and generally bad really, and she may not be the brightest but she’s smarter than that. it didn’t even sound like she was making fun of Jaune either. you already killed her once, at least make her good in this please.

“Save Nora”

Nora is facing Mortal Danger with no Weapons and a Grim snarling at her direction screaming for Ren to save her.

Beowolf 1

Instead Sun out of nowhere Fly Kick’s into the Grimm like he’s Liu Kang and it falls on It’s back. 😛

Beowolf 2

Nora doesn’t seem very grateful at the rescue and says to him “Move along Monkey-Boy!” since she wanted to be rescued by Ren.

Beowolf 3

We cut to another scene with the merciless Grimm just standing there while Nora is screaming help. Wait, don’t these things usually Disintegrate when they die??

Beowolf 4

Yang proceeds to rescue her isn’t grateful for Yang’s actions because at this point It’s clear that she’s “Crying Wolf” with Yang understandably not knowing what the big deal is since they’re training to fight these Grimm’s to begin with, not realizing this is some sort of low-level plan of Nora’s.

She complains how hard it was to find legit “Beowolves” around the school in an effort to make the danger seem real. (Well, at least she doesn’t have a person in a suit pretending to be one like most cliched cartoons do.)

Beowolf 5

It finally cuts to Nora dragging the grimm against it’s will to make a 3rd attempt only to horribly and comedically backfire with Ren shows up asking what she’s doing with such a dangerous animal.

Beowolf 6

Nora tries to say she’s “fighting for her life” and Ren says in his own words that it seems she’s already go this and compliments how amazing she is for making that Grimm her Bitch. 😛

Beowolf 7

Nora gets excited for realizing that Ren just called her “Amazing”.and ends up hugging the Beowolf’s arm to the point of breaking it and says “Whoops! I broke another one” and the skit Ends.

For once, I feel bad for the Grimm. At least Nora’s finally getting some attention from Ren. Sometimes I wonder why Nora is still not a full fledged huntress yet even though she basically takes out grimm left and right.

“Upgrade Time”

In another “Junior Detectives” segment, Sun & Neptune show up wearing their fake “Porn-staches” and sun laments that they haven’t caught anyone in a while as he paces back & fourth and Sun suggests they upgrade their “Cop gear”.

Upgrade 1

This leads to a small montage accompanied by generic 80’s music showing Sun to now having gold-plated handcuffs and Neptune gets a gold-plated Nightstick. (Is that even legal?)

Upgrade 2

It then cuts to the Army Surplus where they get Army helmets & Riot Shields,

Upgrade 3

And the montage ends with them getting custom motorcycles.

Upgrade 4

But despite getting these supposed upgrades, it ironically makes them impractically unable to move to the very bikes they purchased and in 2 seconds this happens…

Holy Fuck!! Your kidding me right? Those two bastards from Cinder’s “Teen Brigade” Emerald & Mercury are now in Chibi Form?

They both try to keep their composure by saying “It’s time to roll out” when ironically their vehicles to pursue them are stolen by those two despicable Bastards and the skit ends.

That shopkeeper must be the richest motherfucker in Vale, but how does he handle all of those shops and extra jobs? Maybe he has clones or identical male siblings like how every “Nurse Jenny” & Officer Joy” are related yet identical in the Pokemon Cartoons? (I know Sextuplets are a thing but not all of them can be Identical right?)

All we need are Chibi Roman, Chibi Adam and Chibi Neo now.

This skit also teaches us that With all the upgrades proves that more does not always mean better. (Heck, In most Zombie Apocalypse stories, people prefer to use something lightweight like knives swords, crossbows, handguns & shotguns due to being easier to carry while on the run.)
