Shorts Review: Red vs. Blue Season 12 Episode 13
Locus and Felix have their plan, but what can the Reds and Blues do to stop it? Not much in episode 13. Find out what the team is up to after the jump!
I think there’s a problem when a team is trying to get one of its own to hand over a very handy laser, instead of letting him keep it and wreak havoc on the enemy. Well, that’s what’s going on during the first part of Episode 13. Poor Church has to take over Grif’s armor to get the laser out of his hands.
I knew it was a matter of time before the action took a break, but I didn’t think it would happen right after Felix and Locus betrayed the Reds and Blues. I’m not sure why, but I guess the show needs to reset a little, and set up for the battle with the mercenaries and their mysterious leader.
The team finally put together that the mercs are taking alien technology back to pirates, and getting them to reverse engineer the guns, as well as the armor mods. This is how they are making their money on the war. It took Carolina to dig about five seconds into all of the tech, and she came out with that.
There was no mention yet of Locus and Felix going back to their respective armies and putting their plan in motion. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that happen first thing next episode. While the Reds and Blues are interesting, I am finding myself more interested in the plans of Felix and Locus. I think the plan of using the fake deaths of the Reds and Blues are going to be a great catalyst to start a war. But with six episodes left, the climax needs to be happening soon, or spill over into an inevitable season 13.
Episode 13 was a rather big distraction, almost worthy of being called a filler episode. The climax should be coming, and it should be a bang, because a lot of loose ends need to be tied up.
