Review: Uncle Grandpa ‘Afraid of the Dark’
Aaaaaah! Real Monsters!!
Spoilers Below
Uncle Grandpa shows up to this kid’s house because this little girl is afraid of the dark. Problem is, Uncle Grandpa also hates the dark but when his imagination shows up monsters come to life! No one is interested in helping them get out of trouble, so Uncle Grandpa and the little girl have to do it themselves. Belly Bag gives the duo a map to turn on the light and after running away from a bear the duo take on a friggin long journey that leads them into quick sand. The little girl saves the day, but the light switch tries to eat them! Grandpa and the girl decide to turn into monsters so that they can scare the other monsters and they do just that. Both Grandpa and the little girl end up being not afraid of the dark anymore.
Uncle Grandpa has some GREAT gags. Seriously, if you listen closely his goofy voice lays out some pretty awesome one-liners. However, the real winner this week was the art direction as Uncle Grandpa’s spooky scenes led to some of the most creative use of colors and the character designs on the monsters were just plain awesome. Pizza Steve needs to be a bigger part of EVERY episode, and I was kind of bummed we didn’t really get much in terms of additional shorts, but this is a good show. Very, very strong.
New year and still hiding and supporting the censorship org The PTC that post disinformation as well. And you can't handle the truth that I expose them and tell the truth about them Lil Al that is a fanboy of The PTC. There wrong about the UCLA study that teens don't want sex on TV shows or movies which was flawed and without merit and baseless as well which you seem not to get Litttle Al. Anf you should not support censorship and what The PTC stands since their liars can't back up their claims either as they have no facts or proof either. The facts are the fact Lil Al which you can't handle.
