REVIEW: REGULAR SHOW “TRASH BOAT”
Rigby changes his name and has to change it back when he realizes that he picked the stupidest name ever… “Trash Boat.”
Spoilers Below
Inspired by seeing his favorite band on TV, Rigby decides to change his name so that he can be the coolest person in the world which instantly becomes the worst idea ever. Its too expensive to change his name back from “Trash Boat” and of course everyone at work gives him a hard time. Benson offers Trash Boat $50 to pick up trash at the park but that becomes a pain so he turns to Mordecai for a loan in which case he gets denied. Also, “Trash Boat” can’t even get a second job to help out with the cost but no one gives him a chance because of his name. Soon enough a washed up rock star named “The Urge” comes back in time to try and kill Rigby for ruining his career. Thankfully, Mordecai opts to help out Trash Boat in getting his name changed back to Rigby which you would think would just end game right there. But, as it turns out a bunch more washed up rock stars show up from the future to try and take each other out, which ends in a simple grenade.
First thing’s first I’m gonna go ahead and name my first-born “Trash Boat”. Second, was super funny and I was really caught off guard about Mordecai’s unwillingness to help out his buddy get his name changed back. Funniest part of the whole episode was Muscle Man ‘talking’ with his belly which was crudely pasted over with a temporary tattoo. The one downside of the episode was the end with all the rock stars coming back as I thought the joke went a TAD over obsessive, but other than that another solid week of “Regular Show”.
