Review: Mr. Pickles “Serial Killers”
Spoilers Below
What do you get when you combine a serial killer dog, with escaped serial killer convicts? A pretty good episode of Mr. Pickles.
First off, we meet the crew of serial killer misfits that we’ll grow to love over the next 11 passing minutes. Not really love, but the cannibal is the most focused on for the duration of the show. I do have to give them credit for factoring the opening scene into the theme, that was a nice surprise and a seamless transition. The sheriff sets out to use Mr. Pickles for his keen sense of smell to help fight crime but when he investigates, he finds out that one of the worst crimes has occurred- a pack of wild berry gum was stolen from the convenience store. And of the course, the sheriff won’t stop until this horrible crime has been reprimanded.
The show is built with a cast of characters that practically have the same IQ score as a goldfish, with the exception of Mr. Pickles and Grandpa. I remembered why the show is successful in making me laugh and keeping me entertained. The pure ridiculous, asinine scenarios that their minuscule intelligence leads them to, is what keeps me coming back. The dedication of the sheriff, not to stop a cannibal at large who has every intent of continuing his murderous streak, but to stop a thief of a pack of meaningless gum, is what guaranteed this episode a positive score.
