Review: Mr. Pickles “Fish?”
Just like fish, only some people will like this episode.
Spoilers Below
Remember the mafia gangster, Jonny Gabagooli, from season 1? He makes a return and meets an unfortunate demise. The sheriff is also even more pathetic than previously thought.
The cast of characters in this show are bizarre, to say the least. Rightfully so, because the show is unorthodox, the strange characters blend in. The sheriff can’t do anything right, and ironically, the only thing that he does get occasionally right is locking the criminal behind bars, because the way he screws up everything else, somehow puts the perp behind bars.
In this episode, seduction is the word, when Gabagooli goes to jail, his wife must save him. Having the mentality of a child, the sheriff is thinking with his lower brain, when the wife easily gets him alone in a bubble bath. She swipes the jail keys and goes to free her husband. Mr. Pickles saves the day after giving the mafia a taste of this own medicine. His own medicine in this case is chopping off one’s face and then blowing their brains out.
The episode was average but it didn’t seem too well thought out. It was like while originally writing scripts for season 2, they said “Hey why don’t we revisit an earlier episode and continue that Bigfoot episode from season 1?” Throwbacks to earlier episodes are fine, but a lot of season 2 episodes have felt very similar to season 1, which I fear will not become the norm. I (as well as some fans) would like brand new, original, and of course, sick and twisted episodes. Also, as an aside, why does the sheriff have a prominent camel toe?
