Review: Mother Up! ‘Double D Moms’

Spoilers Below

Rudi’s so fucking lazy that Sarah is the one stuck with making sure that both her kids AND Sarah’s kid Fergis makes it to school on time. Worst yet, Richard has a bully at school that keeps punching the kid in the face. Surprisingly enough, Rudi tells Sarah that she needs to find some new ‘me’ time and relax a bit instead of dealing with everyone else’s problems. Sarah’s first idea is a book club with all of the other moms which of course is going to drive Rudi nuts. The next course of action is to take Sarah on a drunken binge spree of which some of the other ladies from the school decide to join in. The ladies have so much fun that Sarah wants to up the stakes the next time around despite the fact that Jenny’s trying to ruin all of the fun.

The next day as promised Sarah and even more ladies paint the town red and even make friends with the cops which allows them to get away with anything!

Rich walks down the street and meets a bunch of prisoners, one of which eventually saves his life which is the closest that he has had to a father figure since the show started. The next day he decides to meet up with the prisoners again this time donning prison garb. However, when he tries to play catch with one of the other inmates he gets locked up with the rest of the tribe.

The ladies return to the school to pick up their kids, but Rudi is wondering where the hell Rich is? Yep, he’s in jail with a prisoner he swears that he’s his dad. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that Rudi can do about it now because Sarah’s kid Fergis shows up on her door step wondering where his mother is. Their search leads them to the basement of a Serbian convenience store where Sarah may or may not be on hallucinogens. When Sarah comes to, she has to take part in a snake fight with one of the other crazy Serbian dudes.

Rudi and Sarah make it out of the fight OK when Rudi gets the call about her son being in jail. She goes to pick him up and makes a deal with the guards that Dick can come back and visit his favorite prisoner aka Cueball whenever she wants to bring him.

Again, this show seems to get better and better each episode. The kids are starting to distance themselves a little bit and are taking on their own identities which offers a nice change of pace away from Eva’s parts. Richard is a rather strong character with an almost dim-witted, but adorable take on his day. Rudi does a great job in taking her plot on her back, but Sarah is a pretty fun character when lit up and more so are the other ladies that were in on the action. Mother Up! is starting to get fun!
