BEA’s BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

Its Bea’s birthday and she has a big ol’ bash planned for her. However, Milo showed up with no present and Oscar’s not letting him sign on the card this time around. As such, Milo promises to get Bea a lock of Brandon Bubbler’s hair and brings with him some backup in the form of Oscar,  Al, and Jumbo.  Eventually, the guys get to the hotel Bubbler is staying at and disguise themselves as maids to try and find the pop superstar. Thankfully, Milo and Oscar run into Mr. Baldwin who tells him that Bubbler is in the penthouse suite but he’s surrounded by bug huge body guards! Somehow, Milo is able to knock the shit out of Brandon and kidnap him with the intentions of the bringing him to Bea’s birthday party. They catch up with Jumbo and Al and they all get chased through the hotel by the body guards and bell hops and end up back at the birthday party. Turns out Brandon loves birthdays and Bea couldn’t be happier (all things considered) and Bea indeed gets the best birthday ever!

GET A YOB

In an effort to get free food, Milo places a strand of hair into his food so that the lunch lady can feel bad and not charge him. Instead, Milo ends up getting the lunch lady fired and Oscar and Bea are pretty miffed. That said, Milo decides to help the lunch lady find a new job with the first stop being a local seahorse farm that needs help taming horses. However, after a musical montage of failed gigs the kids decide to just get the lunch lady her job back. Luckily, the school is holding a competition to hire the new lunch lady and so Latoada gets disguised in a ridiculous costume and gets entered into the cook off. Turns out Latoada’s grey mush can’t be beat but when the Principal finds out who is under the disguise he decides to fire again. That causes Milo to come clean…kinda and gets Latoada her job back!

We get a Milo double feature on Disney Channel and it doesn’t disappoint. “Bea’s Birthday Surprise” was a riot and very well written with a twist ending that I certainly didn’t expect. Also, Jumbo is a very funny character and I hope to see him more as he brings a good variety and Albert’s always good for a gag every now and again. “Get a Job” was entertaining but I thought the montage was very formulaic as was the plot which almost seemed TOO similar to ‘Fish at Work‘ but not as wholesome. Having said that, Milo is a great asset to the show and I believe Fish Hooks depends on him quite a bit.
