Review: Dragons: Defenders of Berk “The Night and the Fury”
Last week was an improvement, content wise. However, there was still a lot of room for improvement. Check out what after the jump!
Spoilers Below
We start this episode with Astrid trying to explain a new training mission. But, everyone groans about it, saying it’s too hard. This one involves going through Dragon Island, at night, no gear, and no dragons. Tuffnuts takes the dragons to the cave on the other side, while the gang starts on their trip. The gang, thus far, seems to be doing…not terrible. Tuffnuts seems to be making the best of his downtime, by telling ghost stories to the dragons. Hiccup goes to a campfire, where he meets up with Dagger. He thinks Hiccup is there to hunt dragons.
So, it seems that Dagger became quite a bit unhinged after leaving Berk. He has hunted dragons, and has taken something from each of them as trophies. Eventually, they start their hunt. Hiccup is protecting the dragons by lying about night fury abilities. Cut back to Tuffnuts, and he’s asleep with the dragons. Another, wild dragon, stirs them all, and they fly off. Snotlout catches up with Hiccup and Dagger. Poor Fishlegs, he’s all alone, until he catches up with Hiccup and them. A couple minutes later, Astrid shows up. Then, thinking Hiccup is in trouble, Toothless shows up, right in the crosshairs of Dagger.
Hiccup tries to delay Dagger, but to no avail. He is attacked by Terrible Terrors, and misfires. Hiccup gets a very undetailed plan to get them off the island, and safe. Dagger’s plan is unveiled, and he is going to get Toothless to go into the armada he has waiting. Dagger is put in his place by Hiccup. Dagger makes one last ditch effort to kill Toothless, but in the end, he is defeated, and sent back to his Armada.
There is one thing that I need to say. This show does a fantastic job keeping everything flowing from the movie to Riders, to Defenders. To get the full scope of Dragons, you will have to watch everything, starting with How to Train Your Dragon. As for the episode itself, this is the best one thus far. A lot of action, but not so much comedy. But that’s where the show shines. I am really digging this show. This episode went into a lot of detail concerning Dragon Island, and what has happened to Dagger since he was seen last. This show head and shoulders above the other Dreamworks spinoff shows, but that doesn’t say much of anything, because the rest of them are all crap.
New year and still hiding and supporting the censorship org The PTC that post disinformation as well. And you can't handle the truth that I expose them and tell the truth about them Lil Al that is a fanboy of The PTC. There wrong about the UCLA study that teens don't want sex on TV shows or movies which was flawed and without merit and baseless as well which you seem not to get Litttle Al. Anf you should not support censorship and what The PTC stands since their liars can't back up their claims either as they have no facts or proof either. The facts are the fact Lil Al which you can't handle.
