Review: The Annoying Orange ‘Orange Julius Caesar’

 Spoilers Below

Nerville is clearly brain damaged, so he takes the fruit to a chariot race, but the guys actually beat the NASCAR crew so…yea. Whilst the fruit is pleading their case to the Caesar, Nerville ends up on Mt. Olympus where he drinks some punch, grows a beard, and becomes a demi-God. The fruit, however, end up in jail where Pear lays out a fart which means the entire crew have to go fight some of the guards. Grapefruit actually houses the entire legion of warriors. Next, the Caesar calls upon a whole bunch of limes but Orange gets the group to knock over the Lord’s chair and then take part in a feast fest. Orange becomes the Emperor , but it isn’t long before Pear and the gang lead a coup that causes the Coliseum to burn to the ground.

The NASCAR guys were actually the only highlight tonight. Nerville came off more annoying than usual. I did enjoy Passion Fruit’s fourth-wall breaking measures, and the idea of the fruit trying to overthrow an Orange emperor was comical. But, the overall premise of the episode like how the fuck did the fruit end up in a Coliseum in the first place leaves this week’s episode tasting rather rancid.
