Muppets News: Miss Piggy & Kermit Break Up, Imagine Dragons Announced as First Musical Guest
As many of you have heard, Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog have decided to call it quits, on the heels of several other high-profile celebrity break-ups.
But the show must go on (literally, as the new Muppets series will premiere this fall on ABC) and there’s some good news for fans: Imagine Dragons has been confirmed as the first musical guest on the reboot, executive producers Bill Prady and Bob Kushell said.
The group will play themselves on Up Late with Miss Piggy, one of several parts of the show as a whole. As a reminder, the new Muppets will follow the individual lives of several members, and will not be a traditional variety show.
With these solo storylines, it’s no surprise that Miss P & Kermit couldn’t make it work.
And for all those asking whether I, Gonzo, am the new love interest of Piggy or somehow caused the break up: I have no comment at this time.

My Love Affair with Marriage was great! I hope this gets enough of a release in the US for me to be able to go to it in theatres.
