Jimmy Fallon & Pitbull Play Giant Duff Beer Pong in Front of Moe’s Tavern

I don’t know about you, but this would be a dream come true for me. I’m not really a fan of Pitbull, and Jimmy Fallon is cool, but as a former beer pong enthusiast (once upon a time, a buddy & I won 17 games in a row – no big deal), a lifelong Simpsons fan, and current raging alcoholic, this particular shenanigan seemed especially appealing.

If you didn’t hear, the Tonight Show is filming in Universal Studios Orlando this week, with most of the focus on the new Harry Potter expansion that will be opening July 8th. But if you’re anything like me put the beer down; it’s 8am you’re probably more interested in the new Simpsons attractions, which – in addition to the previously-established “Simpsons Ride” and Kwik-E-Mart gift shop – include the Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ’n’ Hurl, a couch gag photo room, and a “Fast Food Boulevard” consisting of Moe’s Tavern, the Duff Brewery, Krusty Burger, The Frying Dutchman, Luigi’s, Cletus’ Chicken Shack, and Lisa’s Teahouse of Horror.

During Pitbull’s appearance on the show, there was a pre-recorded clip of him & Jimmy drinking inside Moe’s and challenging each other to a game of “Giant Duff Beer Pong.” They then headed out in front of the bar where a game of 6-cup was awaiting them, surrounded by throngs of spectators (including the Simpson Family & a lurking Sideshow Bob.) The cups were basically enormous trash cans painted red to look like the Solo variety, and the ping pong balls were World Cup soccer balls (apparently people are into the World Cup, or something.) The rules were explained for those who never went to college or generally lived boring lives, with regular, human-sized cups off to the side for actual drinking.

Pitbull went first, throwing a bouncer that missed. Jimmy followed with a successful bounce. (Isn’t that supposed to be two cups?) After another miss by Pit and another score by Fallon, the musician retreated into Moe’s to don a Team Brazil soccer jersey and tight white pants that matched the host’s (a reference to the show’s “Tight Pants” sketches) and proceeded to “win” the game with a slam dunk. Of course, if the contest was to see who could let the other person win (or, you know, who actually made the most cups) then Jimmy Fallon clearly was the victor.

After a whole week of the Tonight Show talking about Harry Potter, it was nice for them to acknowledge The Simpsons, and in classic Jimmy fashion: celebrate it with a celebrity & a game. To see the whole segment yourself, check out the video below.
