It Appears that TripTank Has Been Cancelled
The signs are apparent.
The MTV/Viacom trademark of a cancelled animated series? THE GRAVEYARD SHIFT! That’s right, starting tonight TripTank has been moved to 1 am ET/PT, only on Comedy Central, which is the same time slot that Moonbeam City held right near the end before that show was put out of it’s misery.
Fortunately, Comedy Central has a bunch more cartoons on the way starting this fall with the 20th season of South Park, and Legends of Chamberlain Heights which has already been picked up for a second season. Also, TripTank wasn’t a complete failure by any means, as the show has successfully spun-off Jeff & Some Aliens which is currently in production and is set to premiere sometime in 2017.
For TripTank fans, we’ve got about five more episode of the show’s second season before the show bites the dust, so enjoy! We’ll be recapping every episode until the end, and then doing a look back at the best sketches and seeing if we can’t get a few more TV shows out of the show.
