Groundskeeper Willie Devastated After Scotland Says “NO” To Independence

Aye or Die

As we previously reported, Groundskeeper Willie of The Simpsons was positively gung-ho about the possibility of Scotland becoming independent. His “Aye or die” campaign was fought strongly, but to no avail, as a majority of Scottish folk voted on September 18th in favor of remaining part of the United Kingdom.

The dejected Springfield Scot, in a Facebook post, was seen surrounded by empty whiskey bottles and a newspaper reading, “Curse Ye Gordon Brown.” His “Aye or die” tattoo had been changed into a portrait of the Queen with the words, “Queen of my heart.”

Don’t try to convince our favorite groundskeeper of the benefits of the outcome either, because “Willie hears ya; Willie don’t care.”
