DVDs Review: King of the Hill Seasons 7 and 8

I usually don’t do this, but in this case I will since it’s basically the same song and dance. What you are getting here is two things: 1) You get two bare bones releases of King of the Hill seasons seven and eight for about $20 some-wad dollars each which is an outstanding value for almost 25 episodes a piece. 2)  You are getting pieces of history.

Let’s face it, Mike Judge is doing other things, he has a popular series on HBO called Silicon Valley that is doing very well and showcases Judge’s genius Sunday Nights on the same network that tried to beat him to the punch on airing a cable animated series at the same time as Beavis and Butthead. So, he probably doesn’t have a whole lot of time to do any sort of episode commentaries or deleted scenes or anything like that which would increase the values of these releases. That said, the price is difficult to snear at, and at the end of the day you are getting a legendary animated television show that never should have been cancelled on the first place, pop-able for years to come.

For the animated fan in your family, these releases are hard to beat…
