Comics Review: Simpsons Illustrated #16
Spoilers Below
This go ’round of Simpsons Illustrated was a bit of a mixed effort to me. For starters, I wasn’t a fan of the Uncle Burn$ story due to the fact that the plot setup was a tad boring and The Snake cousins were about as unoriginal as the GoBots. The ending was classic Burns, but overall I wasn’t all that entertained by the dialogue. Fortunately, the action scenes more than made up for it, and I didn’t feel completely ripped off.
Hog Tied was pretty funny, because Ralphie is the man and he’s adorable as hell playing with the pig and I thought the Charlotte’s Web scene was funny. Maggie and Moe teaming up also never gets old.
Is this issue worth the $4? For the hardcore reader, yes. For the one looking for a hilarious deal, no.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
