Comics Review: Simpsons Comics #230

Game On!
Before Amazon.com, you had to wait on line for video games you really wanted the night before. Nowadays, you’re pretty much set with pre-orders. Not that they don’t do midnight releases at Gamestop anymore, and yes I know people who still go to those, but they are almost not needed anymore. Such is the case when Bart, Homer, and Milhouse wait on line for a new game. But, when Homer leaves, hunger pains set in and Bart gets into the store to get the last copy. Milhouse wants it too, but Homer buys it instead.
Donut Detectives
Marge rejoins the police force with Chief Wiggum so as to find out who has been stealing all of the town’s donuts. We eventually find out that it’s Burns who has been using them to absorb nuclear waste. Unfortunately, the combo of donuts and nuclear materials create monster donuts that Homer has to eat, but what about the monster vegetables?
Our Take
When you mix donuts and video games, very little can go wrong. This month’s issue of Simpons Comics is a satisfying way to stave off the hunger of more Simpsons episodes until September.
