Comics Review: Mighty Moe Szyslak #1
If you’re expecting some decent Moe, this may not be the answer.

A few interesting things to note about this release of Might Moe #1. For starters, this is the first time a digital-only release of a comic has the same price as what the print comics used to be @ $2.99. But, we definitely get a bit more bang for our buck, especially when you compare this release to the recent Futurama and Krusty #1 releases.
In any event, “Moe Brother: Where Art Thou” is quite possibly the worst written Simpsons Comics story ever. It’s literally about Moe seeing himself in the mirror thereby convincing himself he has a twin brother that’s in town. Moe & Barney’s Excellent Adventure felt more like a Futurama premise and isn’t exactly unique as the show has done tons of time travel shit, but at least there was a lot of meat on the bones in terms of plot and some pretty fun depictions of Hitler and other historically fun elements.
I much preferred the two shorts. A love story featuring Moe’s rag and then the bit more deprecating “Love Accurately”, the latter featuring a couple of surprise cameos that are almost worth the price of admission by themselves.
I was, at first, super excited for a Moe #1, because Moe’s constant self-deprecating and self-serving humor is his best elements and we really don’t get a lot of that other than from the shorts. I think the writers had a real opportunity to do something a bit more Wes Anderson and instead, we kinda got the same old same old.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
