Bubble UK: Top Gear Presenters Get a Family Guy Makeover

James May, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond get a very different look in this month’s issue of their motoring magazine courtesy of the Family Guy artists, a rare honour indeed!

Top Gear go Family Guy

Top Gear may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it certainly is the most emulated motoring show on the planet and the countries that don’t have their own version broadcast the original, over 100 of them apparently. Because of their popularity, the three presenters are given carte blanche to create mayhem and chaos all in the name of motoring, Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond have done many crazy of things but they haven’t been turned into cartoon characters; until now.

The trio have been given the honour of a Family Guy makeover by the show’s artists for a BBC 3 interview with animation maverick, Seth MacFarlane. The report in UK paper The Metro is a tad confusing but it seems the interview with Seth will be conducted by the animated versions of the motoring show’s presenters and the trio will also appear Family Guy style in a comic strip the latest issue of Top Gear magazine. As you can see from the shot above (created to celebrate the release of Family Guy season 12 on DVD), the Family Guy artists have already got Clarkson, May and Hammond down to a tee, if these animated avatars could replace them on the actual show I’d be tuning in to Top Gear every week!
