Mr. Pickles Creator Touts “The Adventures Of Murder Man” ; Liquid Death To Shop TV Series
Recently, McDonald’s and Toyota produced anime-inspired shorts and now Liquid Death water is taking a page out of that book and is pitching a new animated series called The Adventures Of Murder Man. The series comes from Will Carsola, creator of Mr. Pickles, and is inspired by the Murder Man animated short that released years ago in conjunction with the release of Liquid Death water that has since shown up on every podcast table in the world.
Carsola is directing and writing the script along with Mike Cessario, CEO of Liquid Death, with Stew Herrera, Miatta Lebile, Jill Jilbertson, and Dave Stewart lending their voices to the project. Titmouse is on board to produce the series.
According to Deadline who broke news of the project, the story follows Murder Man, a mysterious vigilante, doing what he does best: wreaking havoc and murdering thirsts with his bloodstained battle ax. With eyeballs for nipples and an aluminum can for a head, The Adventures of Murder Man will uncover how he discovers his past and tries to reunite with his family from before he was forced into becoming a vigilante, by Liquid Death’s CEO. And since the folks at Deadline don’t have a spine, they opted not to post the accompanying trailer of which we will.
Liquid Death has now started a campaign to have fans tag different TV networks and streamers so that they will pick up the series, so have at it!
Short of getting Roiland back, which I'm sure isn't going to happen, I don't even think they could get much better than the new voices from the previous season. And the ratings for season 7 weren't much lower on average than for season 6; it was pretty much just a normal season-to-season drop that most likely would have happened regardless.
I mean, look at the actual averages:
Season 1 - 1.57 million viewers Season 2 - 1.97 million viewers Season 3 - 2.33 million viewers Season 4 - 1.52 million viewers Season 5 - 0.96 million viewers Season 6 - 0.56 million viewers Season 7 - 0.42 million viewers
Ever since season 3, it had been having steep drops even with Roiland still involved; the season 6 to 7 drop is actually the smallest-percentage drop it's had since it started dropping, and if anything it's possible that changing the voice actors actually *boosted* interest a bit and prevented it from dropping even more.
