English Dub Review: The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen “The Wicked Princess and the Sword”

Overview:

Arthur abandoned his dream to be a knight due to his embarrassing special ability. Inspired by Pride’s actions, he embraces his ambition once again.

Our Take:

I was hoping that with Arthur’s ability, he might stick to his plan and become a farmer. With Pride doing her best to improve things, I thought maybe they would find a way for Arthur to become a farmer, but I understand that might be a little less interesting. It also bothers me a bit that his ability was referred to as “embarrassing” and that people made fun of him for it. His father was supportive and it would have been nice to see him do something that makes him happy. But I could be wrong; perhaps becoming a knight will do just that.

The one thing I don’t like about shows like this is the romance takes a backseat for the most part. Which I understand, I mean if you’re mostly focused on not being executed it stands to reason that you wouldn’t be paying attention to all the people falling in love with you. But I do look forward to seeing what Arthur has to tell Pride once he becomes a knight.
