Netflix Unveils Busy May 2024 For Adult Animation Premieres ; Acquires 13 Seasons Of Archer

Netflix has acquired the first 13 seasons of FX’s Archer which will be hitting the streamer starting on May 13th, but that’s not all. May 2024 is shaping up to be Netflix’s biggest adult animation month of 2024 thus far with a bevy of anime TV series, movies, and even the rare US-produced original. The film tells the story of a boy and an oni (demon) girl. Yearning to get along with others and not be disliked, first-year high school student Hiiragi finds himself unable to say no whenever someone requests something of him. One summer day, while unsuccessfully carrying out yet another request, he encounters an oni girl named Tsumugi, who has come to the human world to search for her mother. She does whatever she pleases and is the complete opposite of Hiiragi. Studio Colorido presents this fantasy tale of youth that unfolds over one wintery summer.

Allegiances are tested when the grim realities of life on an empty, alien-ravaged planet start to sink in for President Mulligan and his rag-tag band of survivors. (No plumbing! No food! Movies are just plays now!) In order to rebuild society they’ll have to overcome feral cub scouts, a cruise ship with a deadly secret, and each other.

From the minds behind 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Mulligan is co-created by executive producers Robert Carlock and Sam Means, who serve as co-showrunners. Executive producers also include Tina Fey, David Miner, Eric Gurian, Scott Greenberg and Joel Kuwahara.
