English Dub Review: The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior “The Heretical Princess and the Knights”

Overview

When a military exercise goes wrong, Pride must spare no effort to ensure everyone returns alive.

Our Take

This time around, we’re introduced to Arthur, the son of Knight Captain Rodrick, who possesses the unique ability to enhance the vitality of plants who seems decent in his own right. It’s also evident that there’s been a time skip, as the characters appear slightly older compared to previous episodes, and glimpses from the end credits offer a preview of their future appearances.

Similar to another anime I’ve covered before, Pride is two steps ahead thanks to using her knowledge of the game world to aid those in need and takes an active role in protecting her citizens along with the kingdom, showcasing her determination to be a capable queen.

Overall, this was a passable episode even if this was time skip. It’s clear that Pride is determined not to be the worst queen, but I’m not sure if the random dreams/nightmares everyone else seems to have will come back to bite everyone (or herself) in the ass later on. But I remain curious where this could possibly go next…
